The Problem
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10
All of mankind (yes, that includes me and you) are sinners. We are born into sin and will die in sin. Sin is anything that we do, say, or think that makes God unhappy or breaks His laws. No matter how good we may think we are, we are still sinful in our hearts.

The Penalty
"For the wages of sin is death..." Romans 6:23
"And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Revelation 20:14
"...and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death." Revelation 21:8
Because of our sin, we must be punished. God is holy, and He will not let sin into His presence. The price for sin is death.

The Pardon
"...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b
"But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
Every human is a sinner. But, because God loves us so much, He made a way for us to escape our sin and its penalty. He sent His Son, Jesus, to take the price of death for us. Jesus came to earth and died upon the cross in our place.

The Personal Response
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Romans 10:13
Admit you are a sinner. Believe Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Call upon the Lord God to forgive you and save you from all your sins. It is only by Jesus can we be saved. He is the only way of salvation. There is nothing we can do in our own power to be saved.
